We’re proud to introduce our inaugural Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy 2025-2030, reaffirming our commitment to creating an inclusive organisation that reflects and supports the diverse backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and needs of our employees and the communities we serve.

What is the DEI Strategy?

Our DEI Strategy (PDF, 553KB) sets out a five-year roadmap to embed inclusion across all aspects of service delivery and employment practices. It also demonstrates how we will meet state and federal obligations and advance substantive equality. It consolidates and replaces several expired plans, including:

  • Multicultural Action Plan
  • Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
  • EEO Management Plan

This unified framework focuses on delivering:

  • Inclusive services
  • Accessible buildings and facilities
  • Accessible information
  • Inclusive representation, consultation, feedback and complaint processes
  • Inclusive employment practices and workforce culture 

Who does it support?

  • The strategy prioritises seven key diversity groups:
  • People with disability
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse people
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Women
  • People of diverse sexuality and/or genders
  • Youth
  • Mature-aged people

Built on the principles of intersectionality, it recognises that individuals may belong to multiple diversity groups and experience overlapping challenges. Actions outlined in the strategy aim to benefit all seven groups in meaningful ways
