Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking the public’s assistance for information following a fatal crash which occurred in South Hedland on Friday, 27 March 2026.

About 9pm, a red and white Yamaha quadbike was travelling along Forrest Circle, when at the intersection of Hedditch Street, the rider lost control of the bike and struck a tree.

The rider, a 23-year-old man, sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash and died at the scene.

Major Crash investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, or the quadbike travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling     1800 333 000.
