Arson Squad officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they continue their investigation into a vehicle fire that occurred in Yangebup on Tuesday, 16 December 2025.
About 1.35am, an offender carrying a container of a liquid accelerant, gained entry to the rear yard of a home located on Sogan Rise.
The offender used the liquid to set fire to a Holden Commodore sedan parked in the carport of the home. The fire damaged another vehicle parked next to the Commodore and the ceiling of the carport and patio. The damage cost is estimated at $50,000.
The occupants of the home called Department of Fire and Emergency Services who attended and extinguished the fire.
Arson Squad officers have released CCTV footage in the hope someone might come forward with information to assist them with their investigation.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
