Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they investigate a large bushfire that occurred in Kenwick on Thursday 11 December 2025.
About 12.30pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were advised of a bushfire near the intersection of Wanaping Road and Brixton. Fanned by high winds, the fire quickly spread causing the evacuation of nearby homes and businesses.
Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating the cause of the fire and remind everyone to remain vigilant. If you see suspicious behaviour, report it immediately. Together, we can reduce the risk of bushfires and protect lives and property.
