Applications are now open for the Western Australian (WA) Export Awards 2026.
Established in 1988, the WA Export Awards recognise local exporters who drive economic growth, create jobs and showcase the State’s strengths on the world stage.
More than a celebration, the Awards are a platform to share your export story, raise your profile, and join a community of outstanding WA and Australian exporters.
In 2026, in addition to the WA Exporter of the Year, the Awards will recognise local exporters across 13 categories:
- Agribusiness, Food and Beverage
- Creative, Consumer, Lifestyle and Design
- Digital and Smart Technologies
- Emerging Exporter
- First Nations Exporter
- International Education and Training
- International Health
- Manufacturing and Advanced Materials
- Professional Services
- Regional Exporter
- Resources and Energy
- Small Business
- Sustainability and Green Economy
Businesses based in WA that generate revenue from international markets are invited to apply. Eligible businesses include those that export products, deliver services across borders, or license creative content internationally.
The WA Export Awards provides a valuable opportunity for local exporters to be recognised for the role they play in powering WA’s economy and strengthening global connections.
Winning a WA Export Award also facilitates industry recognition, helping exporters to expand their global networks, and strengthening their brand across international markets.
Each category winner from the WA Export Awards automatically progresses to the Australian Export Awards, held in Canberra, showcasing the State’s export excellence on the national stage.
Como Engineers was named the 2025 WA Exporter of the Year, recognising their strong export results, WA-based manufacturing expertise, and innovative approach to expanding into international markets.
WA exporter Premier Metal Recyclers was named Australian Exporter of the Year at the 2025 Australian Export Awards, making them the third WA company to earn the nation’s highest exporting honour.
