Western Australians with experience in high-demand industries are being encouraged to consider a career as a TAFE lecturer through the State Government's new ‘Made to teach at TAFE’ campaign. The initiative seeks to attract industry professionals into teaching roles, helping address workforce needs across priority sectors.

TAFE lecturers play a vital role in shaping the next generation of skilled workers by sharing real-world knowledge and helping students build industry-relevant skills.

Opportunities are available across metropolitan and regional WA, with a particular need for lecturers in critical occupations, including heavy and light automotive, fabrication, autonomous operations, process plant operations, industrial electrical, refrigeration and air-conditioning, construction, cyber security and care.

If you're an expert in your field, you're made to teach at TAFE. You don't need teaching experience to get started, just industry know-how and a passion for sharing your skills. Support and training are available to help make the transition into teaching.

To find out more about becoming a TAFE lecturer, visit the Made to teach at TAFE webpage.
