Perth Detectives have charged a 21-year-old male in relation to an incident that occurred in Perth on Sunday 20 September 2026.
It will be alleged about 5:30pm, the male attended the public toilets of a burger restaurant in Forrest Chase, before using his mobile phone to film a female inside one of the cubicles.
The female followed the male outside the toilets and into the mall before the male left the area. Police were contacted and the male was quickly identified and taken into custody.
Further inquiries to date, including the review of CCTV suggest the male had also attended the female toilets inside a department store in Forrest Chase prior to attending the burger restaurant.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have used the toilet facilities inside the department store on level two between 3:45pm – 5:00pm on Sunday 20 September 2026, or saw the male acting suspiciously in the area to contact police.
Information can be provided via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperswa.com.au
The 21-year-old male from Wattle Grove has been charged with one count on ‘Used Optical Surveillance Device To Record A Private Activity’.
He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 21 October 2026
