Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking the public's assistance for information as they investigate a fatal crash that occurred in Muchea on Friday, 21 August 2026.

About 3.25pm, a silver Ford Falcon utility towing a trailer and a grey Toyota Hilux utility collided at the intersection of Muchea East Road and Wandena Road.

The 57-year-old male driver of the Ford Falcon died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. His 56-year-old female passenger was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 32-year-old female driver of the Toyota Hilux was conveyed by ambulance to Joondalup Health Campus.

Major Crash investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, or the silver Ford Falcon utility towing a trailer or grey Toyota Hilux utility travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
