Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad have charged a 34-year-old man following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards children.
During the execution of a search warrant at the man’s residence, detectives seized several electronic devices belonging to the accused. These items have undergone preliminary analysis but will undergo further forensic examination as part of ongoing investigations.
It will be alleged that child exploitation material was located on several of the seized devices.
The accused is employed as a music teacher at several metropolitan private schools and conducts private music tutoring outside of school hours.
The 34-year-old Hillarys man has been charged with:
• 3 x Producing Child Exploitation Material
• 2 x Indecently Recorded a Child Over 13 Under 16
He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 10 September 2026.
