The Electricity Industry Amendment (Distributed Energy Resources) Bill 2023 has been introduced to Parliament. It will provide a flexible, responsive and future-focused regulatory framework which will support the Cook Government's path to net zero by 2050. 

The pace of the energy transformation in Western Australia has driven unprecedented change to the way we produce, store and consume electricity. The amendment Bill will allow our electricity sector to keep pace with these changes.
