Today, the WA Government lodged its submissions to the Productivity Commission’s inquiry of the 2018 GST Reforms.
The voices of more than 6,000 Western Australians were captured in the People’s Submission.
“WA’s GST is working for Australia” campaign called on Western Australians to have their say on the State’s GST share and how changes would impact them.

- 6,066 people shared their views
- 95 per cent supported WA keeping its current GST share
- Responses came from metropolitan and regional areas, across all age groups
- People said GST funding is important for hospitals and health services, schools, infrastructure, regional and remote services, and keeping WA’s economy strong
