On Wednesday, 5 August 2026, detectives from the Child Abuse Squad charged a 41-year-old man with additional offences relating to alleged sexual offences against children.
The man was originally charged by Child Abuse Squad detectives on 29 May 2026 and appeared in court on 30 May 2026.
As part of an extensive investigation that commenced in May 2026, detectives have identified a further seven victims who were allegedly sexually assaulted by the accused, a paediatrician.
The 41-year-old man from Wembley has been further charged with:
• 6 x Indecent Dealing with a Child Under 13 years
• 3 x Indecently Recorded a Child Under 13 years
• 3 x Sexual Penetration of a Child Under 13 years
• 2 x Indecently Recorded a Child over 13 under 16 years
• 1 x Produce Child Exploitation Material
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 6 August 2026.
As a result of this investigation, the accused has now been charged with a total of 72 offences relating to 18 victims.
