Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking the public’s assistance for information following a fatal crash that occurred in Perth Airport (Hazelmere) on Monday, 4 May 2026.

About 3.20pm, a black Kawasaki KLX230A motorcycle and a white Kenworth truck collided at the intersection of Kalamunda and Abernethy Roads.

The 19-year-old male rider of the motorcycle sustained critical injuries and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital where he died a short time later.

The 38-year-old male driver of the truck was not injured.

Major Crash investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, or who saw the Kawasaki motorcycle or the Kenworth truck travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
