For the first time, AusMedtech will head west, with Perth confirmed as the host city for the 2026 conference.
Ausmedtech is Australia’s leading medtech conference where industry leaders converge to shape the future of healthcare.
The two-and-a-half-day conference is expected to attract hundreds of national and international delegates from across the medtech sector.
The event will highlight Western Australia's fast-growing biomedical industry, with planned site tours to local facilities as part of the program.
The announcement was made by the Hon Stephen Dawson MLC, Minister for Science and Innovation, on the final day of AusMedtech 2025, held in Sydney from 6–8 May.
Western Australia was strongly represented at the AusMedTech 2025 with JTSI and the Department of Health leading a delegation of seven WA biomedical companies and organisations to this year’s event.
Visitors to AusMedTech 2025 also had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations and capabilites being developed within WA’s health and medical life sciences industry, including potential investment opportunities, at an industry stand hosted by JTSI’s Biomedical Industry team and the Department of Health's Office of Medical Research and Innovation.
Securing AusMedtech 2026 supports two key objectives of Western Australia’s Health and Medical Life Sciences Industry Strategy — strengthening the innovation ecosystem and attracting new investment to the State.
