Three of the WA public sector’s most outstanding contributors have been awarded the Public Service Medal as part of the 2025 Australia Day Honours List.
They have each received this honour in acknowledgement of their sustained excellence and dedication to service.
Congratulations to:
- Andrew Pyke PSM, Director Pilbara Region, Regional Management and Operations Directorate at Main Roads Pilbara
- John Marrapodi PSM, Manager Security and Emergency Management at the Department of Education
- Nayantara Gupta PSM, General Counsel Advisory Services and Legislation, Professional Standards, Regulation and Legal Division at the Department of Communities.
The medal is awarded twice a year by the Governor General – on Australia Day and the King’s Birthday – as part of the Australian system of honours and awards.
It recognises the exceptional service of people working at local, state and federal levels of government.
