After accreditation by Reconciliation Australia, the Commission’s new Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan was released today.

Our new plan builds on our previous plan, Reflect, and is a significant step forward in our commitment to reconciliation and meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Innovate outlines practical actions to ensure reconciliation is woven into everyday practice and is anchored by a clear vision:

“A Commission with reconciliation at its heart, driving meaningful cultural and systemic change with respect, safety and inclusivity. We will do this through cultural learning, a shared and sustainable commitment to reconciliation, and by incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices in our ways of working and decision making.”

The Commission has already started work to implement Innovate and we’ll be sharing stories, progress updates and insights as this work grows.

This new chapter represents not just a plan, but an enduring commitment to keep learning, listening and taking action for a more respectful and inclusive future.
