In line with the latest WA government advice, the State Library / State Archives building - including the 3rd floor archives reading room - will re-open to the public as per normal opening hours from tomorrow (Saturday 1 May).

The 2 square metre rule will apply to public clients entering the building and masks must be worn at all times. All clients must sign in using the Safe WA app or the paper form when entering the building.

If you have ordered archives over the last week, they will be available on the day you requested to view them (items available from 11am). Please be aware that capacity in the Reading Room is limited and there may be delays in accessing archives.

Appointments to meet with an archivist for specialist advice and guidance in using State archives will resume, and the SRO is always contactable via sro@sro.wa.gov.au.

We look forward to seeing you back!
