Perth Detectives have charged a 54-year-old man following an investigation into an incident that occurred in Claremont on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.
About 11.30pm, a woman was picked up by a ride-share vehicle she had booked in Fremantle.
It will be alleged that, during the journey, the driver indecently assaulted the woman.
The matter was reported to police, and the driver was taken into custody during the early hours of Thursday, 24 September 2026.
The 54-year-old Byford man has been charged with:
• Unlawful and Indecent Assault
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 24 September 2026.
