Perth Detectives, with the assistance of officers from Perth Police Station, are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Northbridge on Saturday, 21 March 2026.
About 12.50am, police received several reports in relation to a large brawl outside a nightclub on James Street, near Nicks Lane.
Police and St John WA attended the scene and located a 24-year-old man who had been assaulted and struck with metal bollard. He was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment of serious head injuries.
Police located and arrested several people in the area nearby in relation to their alleged involvement in the incident.
A 17-year-old male from Wonthella has been charged with one count of ‘With intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm’. His bail was refused and he is due to appear before Perth Children’s Court today, Saturday, 21 March 2026.
A 15-year-old male from Port Kennedy has been charged with one count each of ‘Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm’ and ‘Fighting in public causing fear’.
A 17-year-old male from Rockingham has been charged with one count of ‘Fighting in public to cause fear’.
A 16-year-old female from Port Kennedy has been charged with ‘Fighting in public causing fear’.
A 20-year-old female from Alkimos has been charged with one count of ‘Disorderly behaviour in public’.
All four have been bailed to appear before court at a later date.
