Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Yanchep on Sunday 3 May 2026.

About 6.00pm, a black Hyundai Staria van and a grey Ford Ranger utility collided head-on along Wanneroo Road near Yanchep Beach Road.

The 40-year-old male driver of the Hyundai sustained critical injuries and was airlifted by the RAC Rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital.

Two passengers from the Hyundai were also injured. A 31-year-old male was conveyed to Joondalup Health Campus for treatment of serious injuries, and a 36-year-old male was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries.

The 75-year-old male driver of the Ford Ranger was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
