Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred in North Perth on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
 
About 5.10am, emergency services received a report that a blue Mazda CX-7 station sedan had collided with a cyclist at the intersection of Fitzgerald Street and Walcott Street. 
 
Police and St John WA attended the scene and located the cyclist — a man aged in his thirties — with serious injuries. He was conveyed by paramedics to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment.
 
The driver of the Mazda stopped at the scene and is assisting police with inquiries.
