Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a crash that occurred in Whitby on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
 
About 12.25pm, a grey Ford sedan collided with a stationary green Toyota Prius hatchback southbound on South Western Highway, near the Keirnan Street intersection. 
 
As a result of the impact, the Toyota Prius was subsequently involved in a collision with a white Chrysler 300C sedan travelling northbound on South Western Highway.
 
The 82-year-old female driver and 85-year-old male passenger of the grey Ford sedan were both conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.
