Officers from the Financial Crimes Squad have charged a 43-year-old Forrestfield man with ‘Stealing as a Servant’ allegedly involving more than $3 million dollars.

It will be alleged, during his employment from 2013 until his dismissal in February 2025, the accused was responsible for managing the company’s invoicing process which included preparing invoices and submitting them for approval.

After authorisation, it will further be alleged; the accused manipulated the bank account details on several invoices, redirecting payments to accounts under his control.

Police will allege an investigation revealed that the accused had stolen over $3 million from the business, and funds were deposited into five personal bank accounts in addition to his regular salary.

It will be alleged the funds were used for personal expenses, home improvements, overseas holidays, property investments and motor vehicle purchases.

A 43-year-old Forrestfield man has been charged with 30 counts of ‘Stealing as a Servant’ and is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 20 August 2025.
