Step inside the WA Police Force at the 2026 Careers Day

On Sunday 1 November, 10am-2pm, the Joondalup Police Academy will open its doors for an action-packed day showcasing the people, skills, and specialist capabilities behind the largest single police jurisdiction in the world.

From frontline policing to specialist operations and essential support services, Careers Day will bring together a wide range of business and specialist units.

Visitors can get a closer look at the work undertaken across the agency, including role responsibilities, training requirements, work locations, uniforms, accoutrements, and equipment.

Visitors can also enjoy a range of activities throughout the day including Bomb Response Unit demonstrations, a Police Air Wing drone display, High risk vehicle stop demonstrations and performances by the WA Police Pipe Band.

The Police Recruiting Branch will host information sessions throughout the day and will be available to answer questions about applications, eligibility, recruitment stages, and life at the Police Academy.

This free public event gives visitors a unique opportunity to explore where a career with the WA Police Force could lead.

Speak directly with police officers and staff, ask questions about the recruitment process, learn about training pathways, and discover the many roles that support policing across Western Australia.
