Improving the department’s communication with industry on Native Vegetation Clearing Permit matters
Last updated:

The Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration (DMPE) is committed to strengthening our communication with industry as part of our Native Vegetation Approvals Improvement Strategy.

To support this work, the department is hosting an Online Industry Forum focusing on Native Vegetation Clearing Permit (NVCP) applications on Wednesday 10 June, from 1.30pm – 3pm.

Resources and Environmental Compliance Executive Director Tyler Sujdovic will open the session, which will be facilitated by the General Manager – Mine Closure and Environmental Services Branch.

The following topics will be presented by our team:

  • Demystifying the native vegetation assessment process.
  • Everything you need to know about amending your NVCP.
  • Surveys and the importance of getting them right.

The Forum will end with a panel session where panel members from both DMPE and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) will answer questions from the audience.

Submitting questions ahead of time is strongly encouraged. Please email them to nvab@dmpe.wa.gov.au.

If we are unable to cover all questions at the Forum, we will respond via email after the event.

To register your attendance, please email REC.Consultation@dmpe.wa.gov.au by 4pm on Monday 8 June. A confirmation email will be sent with further information.
