About 11.40pm on Monday 23 March 2026, Armadale Detectives arrested and charged a man as a result of their extensive investigation into a serious incident that occurred at a service station in Armadale on Monday 23 March 2026. 
 
It will be alleged about 1pm, the accused attended the service station and filled up his vehicle – a dark-coloured sedan - before attempting to leave without paying. 
 
It will be further alleged, as the vehicle was attempting to leave, a male service station attendant attempted to stop the vehicle before being struck and injured.   The attendant sustained serious facial injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to hospital for medical treatment.
 
The 39-year-old man from Armadale has been charged with:
Drove, Caused or Permitted a Vehicle with a Forged, Replica or False Plate to be Driven on a Road
Stealing
Dangerous Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm
Driver Fail to Report an Incident Occasioning Death or Grievous Bodily Harm
Driver Failed to Stop and Ensure Assistance Received After Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm
 
He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.
