The winners of the 2025 Western Australian Export Awards were announced at the program’s annual Gala Dinner on Friday 12 September.
Now in its 37th year, the Awards recognise the exceptional contribution of WA businesses to the State’s economy and reputation. This year, the program received applications from 40 companies across 14 categories, with more than 40 per cent of entrants applying for the first time.
Celebrating innovation and contribution
The 2025 finalists, along with judges, VIPs, and government representatives, came together at the Gala Dinner to celebrate innovation, success and the impact of exporting on Western Australia’s prosperity.
The evening, emceed by Oly Peterson, commenced with a Welcome to Country by Noongar man Olman Walley, followed by a Welcome Address from the Premier of Western Australia, the Hon Roger Cook MLA.
The Department of Energy and Economic Diversification’s y Director General, Rebecca Brown addressed the audience, emphasising the importance of Western Australia’s exporters in creating jobs, supporting families and contributing to a stronger and more diverse economy.
Guests were treated to a special musical performance by Jarred Wall of Boox Kid, a proud Noongar singer-songwriter, whose work blends contemporary sounds with cultural storytelling.
Spotlight on excellence
The 2025 WA Exporter of the Year was awarded to Como Engineers, recognising their strong export performance, Western Australian based manufacturing expertise and innovative approach to expanding into international markets.
Other Category Winners showcased Western Australia’s capabilities across a broad range of sectors, from agribusiness and advanced manufacturing to health, education, creative industries and technology.
Looking ahead
All category winners will represent Western Australia at the Australian Export Awards in Canberra this November, further showcasing the excellence and contribution of Western Australian businesses on the national stage.
