WA sends largest ever Defence Industry delegation to INDOPAC 2023

Defence West will deliver WA’s largest ever Defence Industry trade delegation to the 2023 Indo-Pacific International Maritime Exposition (INDOPAC)

The Team WA booth the 2023 Indo-Pacific International Maritime Exposition (INDOPAC) will be made up of 44 WA defence industry businesses making it WA’s largest ever outbound defence industries delegation. 

Expressions of interest to be a part of the delegation was at an all-time high following the Federal Government’s release of its Defence Strategic Review with over 63 applications submitted. 

Businesses which make up the delegation will be able to network and promote their talents to the international community. WA products and services on offer include vessel design, robotics, cyber security and wharf side engineering.

"WA is in a key position following the AUKUS nuclear powered submarine optimal pathway announcement with the HMAS Stirling already hosting allied submarines in preparation," said Hon. Paul Papalia CSC MLA. 

Last year, the INDOPAC conference was attended by over 40 nations, had 25,000 visitors with 736 exhibitors and industry sponsors participating. This year’s INDOPAC will be held over November 7-9 in Sydney.
