A delegation of 11 local Aboriginal entrepreneurs, small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and emerging exporters showcased Western Australian (WA) indigenous business capability at the World Indigenous Business Forum (WIBF) 2025.
Running from 28 to 30 October in Melbourne (Naarm), WIBF is a leading global platform showcasing indigenous economic development.
Now in its 16th year, the event attracts business leaders, policymakers and innovators from around the world.
While at the event, Team WA delegates:
- networked with global investors as well as Australian and international indigenous business leaders;
- gained insights into business capability development, investment strategies and global market access.
The delegation was accompanied by Rebecca Brown PSM, Director General, DEED, and two members of the Aboriginal Business Trade and Investment Advisory Board, Christine Ross and Jamie Elliot.
DEED is committed to fostering Aboriginal economic participation and the advancement of First Nations local industries, businesses and people.
This initiative aligns with the Department’s Reconciliation Action Plan and its vision to build a stronger, more diverse Western Australian economy for all.
