Since this web page was published, the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules have been renamed the Electricity System and Market (ESM) Rules, and the Electricity Industry (Wholesale Electricity Market) Regulations 2004 (WEM Regulations) have been renamed the Electricity Industry (Electricity System and Market) Regulations 2004 (ESM Regulations). Changes have not been made to this web page to reflect this updated name.
The Coordinator of Energy, in consultation with the Market Advisory Committee, is undertaking a review of the allocation of Market Fees and Essential System Services (ESS) costs to Market Participants (Cost Allocation Review) under clause 2.2D.1 of the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules. Relevant documents including documents relating to public consultation are published on the Cost Allocation Review page.
The Cost Allocation Review Working Group has been established by the Market Advisory Committee to support the Coordinator’s review.

The Chair of the Cost Allocation Review Working Group has discretion to allow additional subject-matter experts or consultants to attend specific meetings or workshops, either generally or on a case-by-case basis.
Energy Policy WA will provide administrative support to the CAR Working Group.
