The Pilbara Advisory Committee (PAC) is a committee of industry and consumer representatives convened under the Pilbara Networks Rules to provide advice in relation to Rule Change Proposals, Procedure Change Proposals and the evolution of the PNR. 

PAC Governance Documents

The Pilbara Networks Rules outline the functions and composition of the PAC, as well as the procedures for appointing new members. The Pilbara Networks Rules require the Coordinator of Energy to publish a Constitution for the PAC.

Pilbara Advisory Committee Working Groups

The PAC may establish working groups to assist in providing advice to the Coordinator of Energy and the Independent System Operator.

Pilbara Advisory Committee Composition Reviews

Under clause A2.3.9 of the Pilbara Network Rules, the Coordinator of Energy must review the composition of the PAC at least every two years and may remove and appoint members following the review.

The review process is outlined in the PAC Constitution provided under the PAC Governance Documents section above.

Call for Nominations

The Coordinator is seeking nominations to fill the following PAC membership positions, with the terms of some current members due to expire on 16 February 2026: 

  • discretionary members appointed under clause A2.3.5(a) of the PNR, and
  • contestable customer representatives appointed under A2.3.5(b) of the PNR.

It is expected that the PAC will have an increasing focus on, and contribution to, the reform implementation process stemming from the outcomes of the Evolution of the Pilbara Networks Rules Project.

Interested stakeholders are requested to submit their nominations by 5:00pm (AWST) on Tuesday 27 January 2026
