To enable the Committee to directly engage with industry to discuss strategic matters and obtain direct feedback on the progress of the reform program, a Strategic Consultative Group was established comprising the following representatives:

- Andrew Sutherland - Executive Director, Summit Southern Cross Power Holdings Pty Ltd
- Duncan MacKinnon - Wholesale Policy Manager, Australian Energy Council
- Chris Campbell - General Manager – Western Australia; Trading and Portfolio Management, Alinta Energy
- Richard Harris – Chairman, WA Independent Power Association
- Drew Harris - General Manager – Production, Simcoa Operations Pty Ltd
