The Electricity Networks Access Code Amendments (No. 2) 2020 were gazetted on 18 September 2020. This is the largest package of changes to the Access Code since its inception in 2004 and were made to support the delivery of the WA Government’s Energy Transformation Strategy. 
The changes to the Access Code will:

  • increase opportunities for new technologies;
  • maximise utilisation of existing network infrastructure; and
  • improve the access arrangement process.
