$1.8m widening improvements to Vasse Hwy
Transport Minister Dean Nalder announced today that $1.8 million widening improvements along an eight-kilometre stretch of the Vasse Highway near Nannup were almost complete.
"Vasse Highway is an important transport and tourist route linking the towns of Nannup and Busselton," Mr Nalder said.
"The safety of all road users will be significantly enhanced by ultimately reducing the potential and severity of crashes along the highway.
"The improvement works involved the widening of an 8km section of the highway just west of Nannup, as well as the construction of a westbound overtaking lane."
One of Main Roads' Integrated Service Agreement (ISA) providers, Fulton Hogan, has delivered the works.
The works will be completed prior to Christmas with Main Roads WA South West Region managing the project.
"These works are part of the State Government's commitment to improving road safety in WA's South-West region," the Minister said.
