'Best Jobs' campaign supported by the State Government, through Tourism WA
Western Australia's 'Best Jobs in the World' winner Rich Keam will put his Taste Master tastebuds to the test today as a special guest at the IGA Perth Royal Show.
Acting Tourism Minister John Day said the Royal Agricultural Society would be putting Rich to work at exhibitions such as the IGA Fresh from WA Pavilion, the IGA Cooking with Kids class, the Greenfingers Garden, the Sheep Pavilion and the Brownes Milking Station.
"The Perth Royal Show brings the best of regional WA to the city so I can't think of a better event for Rich as the Taste Master to sample the huge range of top quality primary produce WA is famous for," Mr Day said.
Thirty-five year old Rich, from Brighton in the United Kingdom, beat more than 90,000 hopefuls to win the role as WA's 'Best Jobs in the World' Taste Master.
"Rich will spend six months travelling around the State eating, sipping and foraging the best WA has to offer, as well as experiencing many of our iconic tourism destinations," the Acting Minister said.
"He started his 'job' with an amazing three weeks in the Kimberley, visiting some of the region's most extraordinary destinations, including Broome, the Dampier Peninsula, Kununurra, El Questro, the Bungle Bungles and Eco Beach.
"Rich has been sharing those experiences with the world via the Taste Master blog site www.tastewestaustralia.com and on Twitter and Instagram.
"The Perth Royal Show will give Rich a taste of the many other great food and wine experiences that await him in the rest of the State.
"On Friday, Rich heads to the Wheatbelt region on another great West Australian road trip, this time visiting Wave Rock, the Kulin Bush Races and the Cambinata Yabbie Extravaganza."
The 2013 'Best Jobs in the World' campaign is a collaboration between Tourism Australia, Tourism Western Australia and five other States and Territories.
