Appeals process commenced for Gorgon project

Environment Minister Donna Faragher has today received the Environmental Protection Authority's (EPA) report on the proposed Gorgon liquefied natural gas development on the Barrow Island nature reserve, by Chevron Australia.

Environment Minister Donna Faragher has today received the Environmental Protection Authority's (EPA) report on the proposed Gorgon liquefied natural gas development on the Barrow Island nature reserve, by Chevron Australia.

"This is a significant proposal which must be considered very carefully, given the environmental issues raised by the EPA," Mrs Faragher said.

The 14-day public consultation period has now commenced and will close on May 14.
