Barrack Street Jetty's very own pit lane

Barrack Street Jetty will host a public display of fast cars and motorbikes today and tomorrow, ahead of the Perth Speed Fest on December 13.
The city pit will feature the Infiniti Red Bull Racing RB7 2011 world championship winning F1 car, a Nascar, a Lamborghini, a 1937 Ford Coupe hot rod, a hand-built cafe racer hybrid, and Honda and Yamaha motorbikes.
Planning Minister John Day encouraged everyone with a passion for motorsports to visit Barrack Street Jetty over the next two days.
"The new event space at the precinct will be transformed into a pit lane and will be a great opportunity for fans to see the cars up close," Mr Day said.
Other attractions in the precinct include the Swan River Community Markets each Saturday and the newly unveiled Signature Ring public artwork.
The Minister said Barrack Street Jetty was the first precinct to be delivered as part of Elizabeth Quay.
"Barrack Street Jetty has undergone a more than $20 million transformation to improve amenities, infrastructure and landscaping throughout the public areas," he said.
"This has created new spaces for the community to enjoy. I encourage everyone to take a fresh look at the revitalised Barrack Street Jetty."
