"The Broome North Primary School community is already well and truly thriving, and the new school is providing students with a high quality education," Mr Collier said.

"The school has excellent facilities including classrooms for music and art; sporting amenities including hard courts and an oval with cricket nets; and its own dental therapy unit."

The school also includes an administration area, three early childhood classrooms, 12 other classrooms, an inclusive education room, library, canteen and staff facilities.

The buildings were designed to maximise benefits from prevailing westerly breezes in the wet season, and to allow for heavy stormwater runoff.
