Building Australia Fund

In its submission to the Commonwealth's Building Australia Fund, the State Government identified five key projects - essential services for indigenous communities, the sinking of the Perth-Fremantle railway line, the nation-building Ord Stage Two project and improved transport links for the redevelopment of Perth Airport.

In its submission to the Commonwealth's Building Australia Fund, the State Government identified five key projects - essential services for indigenous communities, the sinking of the Perth-Fremantle railway line, the nation-building Ord Stage Two project and improved transport links for the redevelopment of Perth Airport.

This list of projects was submitted to the Commonwealth Government on October 30, 2008.

On December 19, the Commonwealth provided an interim list of projects across Australia that had been given priority. All five projects identified by the State Government were included.

A final list of projects approved for funding will be announced early in 2009.
