Subject:  concerning the finding of the State Coroner in the matter of the death of Mr Rolph.

Minister's response:

"On 19 August 2009 the Full Court heard an appeal by the Mental Health Minister (in the name of the Minister for Health) against the decision of the State Coroner in the Rolph matter.

"The appeal did not relate to the involvement of the police in Mr Rolph's death, but focused on aspects of the Coroner's decision regarding Mr Rolph's medical treatment.

"The Full Court has reserved its decision."
