Does the Police Minister think officers should be allowed to march in uniform in the WA Pride Parade?

Police Minister's response:

While this is an operational decision for the Commissioner, my view is that it would be inappropriate for police to march in their uniforms because that would indicate they are representing the WA Police and I do not think that is appropriate. If they wish to take part in the Pride Parade then I believe they should do so in their civilian clothes - not in their uniform.
