Ms Catherine Birnie

Please quote the Attorney General on the following statement:

"I recently received and reviewed the recommendations from the Prisoner's Review Board in relation to Ms Catherine Birnie.

"I can confirm my decision that there will be no change to Ms Birnie's status and she will not be placed on parole or put into a re-socialisation program.

"The next statutory review date for Ms Birnie will be in March 2013 and I will not pre-judge any recommendations that may result from that review at this time."
