Visitors and nature enthusiasts can enjoy free park entry at Yanchep National Park on Saturday September 17, part of the State Government's Rediscover Parks campaign.

Environment Minister Bill Marmion said the free park entry day was timed to coincide with World Parks Day.

"Now the community can take time out to rediscover nature at one of the State's most picturesque national parks," he said.

Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the ever popular wildlife encounters with snake enthusiast Garry Davies and raptor specialists David and Amanda Payne.

"Showcasing some of our amazing and unique wildlife is always an enriching experience for park visitors, especially children, who will get a rare opportunity to see up close some of our more shy and reserved creatures," Mr Marmion said.

Other activities such as the cave tours will be available on the day and can be booked by calling Yanchep National Park on 9405 0759.
