Top entrants revealed in WA business awards

Some of Western Australia's most accomplished and innovative companies and organisations are among the finalists in the prestigious WA Industry and Export Awards 2015.

Commerce Minister Michael Mischin today revealed the 16 finalists for this year's awards displaying excellence in a variety of business activities which showcase the ingenuity and enterprising spirit of the State.

"The finalists come from many areas of endeavour, including agribusiness, marketing and design, minerals and energy, construction, biotechnology and small business," Mr Mischin said.

"The awards, now in their 27th year, acknowledge the innovation, hard work and success of businesses, both large and small, in accessing new markets.

"The awards also recognise the important contribution Western Australian businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity."

The finalists for 2015 are: Engineering Institute of Technology Pty Ltd; Capogreco Farms; The Perth Mint; Fletcher International WA; CSA Global Pty Ltd; Proteomics International; Stanley College; Trimble Mining (Mining Information Systems); EMC Solar Construction Pty Ltd; Scitech Discovery Centre; SEQTA Software; Austral Fisheries; Vortala Pty Ltd; PDC; Linear Clinical Research Ltd and Falck.

"I would like to congratulate the finalists and wish them well for the upcoming awards," the Minister said.

"The finalists and eventual winners of the awards will gain invaluable recognition and exposure both in Australia and overseas.

"Western Australian winners of export categories will also automatically become finalists in the national Australian Export Awards, giving them further opportunities to promote their innovation, creativity and achievements."
