Busselton Festival of Triathlon marks milestone year with new lineup
- Busselton Festival of Triathlon celebrates 25-year anniversary with exciting new event lineup

- Supported by the WA Government, through Tourism WA's Regional Events Program
Western Australia's iconic Busselton Festival of Triathlon is set to mark its 25th anniversary with a new format and a lineup of events designed to attract athletes of all ages and abilities.
The 2026 Busselton Festival of Triathlon will be held from 1-3 May and will take place along the picturesque Busselton foreshore and Ludlow Tuart Forest. Backed by the WA Government through Tourism WA for the next two years, the annual multisport event is expected to draw thousands of competitors and supporters to the South West.
A total of 2,320participants
competed in the 2025 event, providing a major boost to the region's tourism
economy.
To
celebrate the milestone year and diversify its offering, in 2026 the event will
add four new races:
- Busselton 5: 100m swim, 4km cycle, 900m run (Ages 7-15)
- Busselton 25: 500m swim, 20km cycle, 4.5km run (Ages 14+)
- Busselton 50: 2km swim, 40km cycle, 8km run (Ages 18+)
- Busselton Duathlon 100: 8km run, 80km cycle, 12km run (Ages 18+)
The traditional format of the Busselton Festival of Triathlon also remains, with the:
- Busselton 100: 2km swim, 80km cycle, 18km run (Ages 18+)
- Busselton Aquabike: 2km swim, 80km cycle (Ages
18+)
The Busselton 100 will again be the Triathlon WA State Long Course Championship, the grand finale event of the 2025-26 Triathlon State Series.
The WA Government has proudly supported the Busselton Festival of Triathlon since 2011, and continues to do so through the Regional Events Program, funded by Royalties for Regions.
Member entries opened on 13 October and general entries for the public open on 24 October.
