- $467,904 awarded in the latest round of Horizon Power's Community Partnerships Program
- 72 community initiatives supported across regional and remote WA
- Almost $6 million invested in regional partnerships through the program since 2020
- Cook Labor Government supporting a high quality of life for all Western Australians, no matter where they live
The Cook Labor Government, through Horizon Power's Community Partnerships Program, has awarded more than $465,000 to support 72 community initiatives across regional and remote Western Australia.
The latest round includes support for sport programs and equipment, solar powered projects and other community-led initiatives in towns across Horizon Power's service area, including those impacted by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle.
Partnering with high-profile events across WA, the program is also helping to grow regional tourism, attracting visitors and strengthening local economies.
This includes partnerships with Broome's Shinju Matsuri Floating Lanterns Festival, Esperance's Winter Wonderland and the 2027 Lake Argyle Swim.
The program provides $1 million each financial year to a range of initiatives which foster vibrant communities, in the WA regional energy provider's service area.
Since 2020, the Community Partnerships Program has delivered nearly $6 million to approximately 700 initiatives in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid West and Goldfields-Esperance regions.
The next round of Horizon Power's Community Partnerships Program will open soon. For details, visit: www.horizonpower.com.au/partnerships
