Towage vessels servicing
the Port of Esperance will soon have a new place to moor with construction of a
new tug facility set to start in the coming months.
Advanteering Civil
Engineers will call on its experience delivering similar marine projects to
construct the new facility, which also comprises the supply and delivery of
piles, bollards, and fenders.
The contract is part of a
$14.9 million project to upgrade mooring facilities for tugs and other boats
providing services to shipping in the port.
The new tug jetties will
replace existing tug facilities with new berths for up to four tugboats - two
more than the current capacity.
The new jetties are
essential to provide berthing for port tugs which provide critical towage
services, assisting safe shipping movements at the Port.
Demolition of the
existing jetties is scheduled to commence in January, with construction of the
new jetties to be completed in the first half of 2027.

vessel calls at the Port of Esperance last year, and tugs play a critical role

into our port infrastructure allows trade to continue with minimal
interruption, and delivering a new tug jetties at the Port of Esperance is a
