Hon. Stephen Dawson
BHP has donated 40 transportable accommodation modules to the State Government to support the long-term recovery efforts from the record-breaking Kimberley floods.
The donated modules will be used by the State Government as part of the planned stage two Temporary Residential Accommodation Program.
Each BHP module is configured with three bedrooms and adjoining ensuites and will be used as a component of a larger family-friendly accommodation unit.
This donation supports the State Government's efforts to ensure flood-impacted families from the Fitzroy Valley continue living on country and remain connected with community while damaged homes are repaired and rebuilt.
Delivery of the donated modules to flood-affected communities in the Fitzroy Valley commenced in early September.
