Dongara Health Centre redevelopment complete
- Nearly $10 million Dongara Health Centre redevelopment complete and open for business
- Residential aged care unit features double the number of beds and a new palliative care suite
- Redevelopment delivers on a State Government commitment to provide care on country and close to home
The $9.86 million Dongara Health Centre is now open, following significant upgrades to the emergency department and the residential aged care facility.
The Dongara Health Centre now features world-class telehealth technology to further support the delivery of care close to home.
Other improvements include an expanded ambulatory care unit, providing a one-stop-shop for allied health, dental, community and child health services.
The redevelopment also allows for much improved patient flow and more efficient connections between clinical departments and administration.
This work delivers on the State Government's commitment to redevelop the centre and ensure the local community has access to modern, high quality healthcare facilities.
The redevelopment was supported by a $780,000 grant from the Commonwealth Government's Multi-Purpose Service Program as well as a bequest from the Wilton family.
