$1,000 grant for Busselton Water Polo Association

A State Government grant will help the Busselton Water Polo Association stage the 1999 Country Water Polo Championships.

Sport and Recreation Minister Norman Moore announced the $1,000 grant from the Sports Lottery Fund country package.

The championships will be held in Busselton's Geographe Leisure Centre next March.

Mr Moore said he was delighted to be able to help the association host such an important sporting championship in its home town.

It also showed the benefits of the Government's Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund.

Contributions from the fund had helped the local community build the leisure centre which in turn presented Busselton with the opportunity to host the championships.
